The Municipality of Vicente López has advanced with an administrative modernization measure: in the municipal building, payments are made through digital means, in a strategy to streamline revenue collection and reduce cash use at the counter. According to the Argentine News Agency, the scheme prioritizes payment via electronic channels for fees and procedures, while those who need to pay in cash have alternatives outside the municipal building, through enabled networks. In parallel, the district has shown the same approach in the urban front: since late 2025, it reported progress in the replacement of LED lighting on access roads and main roads, a public works line that usually articulates with criteria for road safety and better nighttime visibility. The combination of a 'digital cash box' and basic infrastructure works aims for two concrete effects: traceability in municipal payments and a visible impact on public space, with interventions that are usually demanded in neighborhoods and circulation corridors. In the short term, the challenge will be to sustain the coexistence of channels: digital for the counter and external circuits for cash, avoiding bottlenecks and ensuring clear information for taxpayers and neighbors.
